Astrid paints the universe
“I don’t want to impose on someone what he or she should experience or feel.”
When Astrid saw a Per Kirkeby exhbition in 1990 her world changed. She knew she wanted to be an artist and she spent the next five years copying his works. These days, she paints in her home studio, capturing the mood or the time of day. She expresses the energy of a room, a moment or a feeling through bold colour and texture, sensing her way into the canvas.
