Spiros makes digital machinery the focus of his work
“My practise examines the dormant nature of processes that are frequently perceived as automated and technological.”
As a sculptor and new media artist, Spiros Hadjidjanos’ work is heavily inspired by technology and the beauty of its physical form. This is found in various manifestations, from a keyboard located within a glass bottle, bizarre laptop installations, and iPhone sculptures. He lives and works in Berlin, studying previously at the Berlin University of the Arts, where he won a DAAD scholarship and was awarded the Meisterschülerpreis des Präsidenten. Specifically for Absolut Art, Hadjidjanos created three-dimensional model renders generated from images originally published in photographer Albert Renger-Patzsch’s book, “Die Welt ist schön”.
