About the artwork
This print is based on a map I made in a 2018 live performance. I attempted to draw the world map, but upside down. In the process, the places and borders became utterly foreign and somewhat uncomfortable. This Way Up is a distillation of the view that you define something by how you choose to look at it, inviting you to admit the fragile balance between perspective and truth.
