Wu-Tang Clan and Absolut Art are pleased to present a new collection of signed, limited edition prints by contemporary artists who have been brought together to celebrate Wu-Tang’s 26-year cultural legacy.

The collection, curated by Oliver “Power” Grant, the co-founder of Wu-Tang Productions and Wu-Tang Brand, and independent curator Diya Vij, brings together established and emerging contemporary artists that have been inspired at some point in their lives or careers by the legacy of Wu-Tang—by their music, their presence in hip hop, and their impact on the cultural landscape.

The artists represent a generation of creators growing up alongside the rise of hip-hop to its contemporary prevalence. Their work is informed by and reflects the continuous exchange between seminal iconography, music, and pop culture, and the lasting influence of one of the greatest hip hop groups of all time.

Since their 1993 debut with the release of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), Wu-Tang Clan established themselves as a cultural movement. From surrealist soundscapes to a fantastical blend of East and West, to a raw and rugged understanding of the force of money; Wu-Tang dealt forms and concepts that remain resonant and urgent in contemporary art today.

Among the featured artists are Hank Willis Thomas, whose works offer an acid commentary on capitalism and America’s racial history; Makeba “KEEBS” Rainey, who has contributed a portrait of Wu-Tang core member Ol’ Dirty Bastard, aka Big Baby Jesus; and Michael Lukowski aka Stay Vers, whose work brings together portraits of the band and related ephemera to form Wu-Tang’s trademark “W” logo.
