About the artwork

Lisas works are sketched directly on newspaper with ink and white out. She selects topics from different newspapers and create unique artwork that are linked to the topic.

This artwork was sketched shortly after Aretha Franklin passed away as a homage. The zebra symbolize the queen of soul. A zebra cannot be tamed, which was also true for Aretha.
