A bit about Yornel
Yornel J. Martínez Elías (Manzanillo 1981) is a contemporary artist who has developed his work close to the post-conceptual practices through technical formalizations and diverse materials. He has been invited to participate in the 6th Salon of Contemporary Cuban Art and in the XII Biennial of Havana as well as in the Aichi Triennale, Nagoya, Japan. Among others Yornel Martínez works are shown in the Jumex collection, Mexico DF and in the National Museum of Fine Arts, Cuba. He studied at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana, where he lives and works.
