About Juliette Bonneviot
Juliette knows what her work is made of
“I am interested in the materiality of the domestic experience, and especially in discarded goods.”
Juliette Bonneviot creates artworks that have a strong focus on materials. Her most recent works look at gender, and how xenoestrogen (estrogen that occurs outside of the human body) is represented and found in various forms such as birth control pills and shampoos. She found sources that possess this chemical compound to create paint with, eventually using them to display the diverse color range that contain xenoestrongen. For Absolut Art, Bonneviot has created two works that depict one of her sculptures. The first work is a 3D rendering and the second is a photograph. The rendering guided the process of creating the sculpture, whilst the finished sculpture’s texture was used to enhance the 3D rendering.
