As a freelance curator, Nadim Samman runs a non-commercial project space in Berlin. International and intellectual in approach, Samman was most recently the curator at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary (TBA21) in Vienna. He previously studied Philosophy at the University College London, before completing a PhD at the Courtauld Institute of Art. In 2012 he curated the 4th Marrakech Biennale with Carson Chan, and in 2014 established The Antarctic Pavilion at the 14th Venice Biennale of Architecture.

Emil is full of raw energy and force

Emil Holmer began his love affair with art when he discovered a book by Salvador Dali. Born in Karlstad in 1975 before living in Stockholm and now in Berlin, the painter strives to create work that is disturbing, uncanny and possesses some form of beauty. Holmer’s body of work has its historical roots in post-war abstraction, pop-art and concretist art, and features a collage of colours and textures that are forcibly fused together. Holmer has created what he describes as “future paintings” for Absolut Art. Rather than to use the traditional medium of paint and canvas as his tools of choice, he opts for unexpected materials such as foil and plastic glitter strings that are combined together by a digital scanner.
