About Michael Dopp
Michael scatters sunglasses all over the page
“The fluidity in relationships between creative people is part of what makes Los Angeles such a great place to be an artist.”
Born in Bloomington in Indiana, Michael Dopp received a BFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and his MFA from the University of California Los Angeles. He has shown his work both nationally and internationally, including at Roberts & Tilton, China Art Objects, 356 S. Mission Street and Night Gallery. He also co-runs the gallery Arturo Bandini with Isaac Resnikoff. Dopp has created three prints for Absolut Art. The artworks are made of singular brushstrokes of ink to look like sunglasses. The arrangement is scattered across the pages, making each of the three pieces distinct from each other, yet cohesive when placed together.
