Ola Kalnins is a self-taught artist with a focus on abstract painting and graffiti.
In 1997 he created his first art studio, only 16 years old and he began his artistic career. Since then, he has worked and exhibited all over the world both as a soloist and in collaboration with other artists.
Ola was invited to NYC in October 2017 for the "Swedish Design Moves NY" that was launched on the Van Alen Institute of New York, sponsored by Visit Sweden, the Swedish Institute, STHLMNYC, the General Consulate of Sweden and Architects Sweden. His contribution, a giant mural on a building in Brooklyn Avenue, was part of the interactive exhibition called "Democratic Architecture" adapted with workshops and conversations.
