About Ben Jones
Ben dreams in psychedelic colours
“David Lynch lives here in Los Angeles, and I want to copy everything he does.”
An unabashed fan of David Lynch, Ben Jones is a director and cartoonist who has created television shows for networks such as FOX, Cartoon Network and FXX. He has also exhibited his animated video art at institutions like the MoMA, Tate Britain and Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Roma. Jones’s creative process begins with the pencil (not the physical kind, but the pencil tool in Flash or Photoshop), and eventually develops his ideas through other mediums such as filmmaking, sculpture, design and painting. Jones has created two prints for his Absolut Art submission. The first examines the ritual of entering into Los Angeles by car. The second explores ideas of companionship and the co-evolutionary process between mankind and dog.
