About the artwork

During the fires of 2020 in California, I kept having to talk myself into keeping going. I routinely asked my therapist what the point of it all was. She said to find those little moments of joy, and then just be in them. I have a daughter. She loves flowers. Currently, I am trying to explain to her that flowers in our yard she can pick. But not in other people’s yards. This is a complex concept to digest. And when you really break it down, there are holes in the logic. She likes flowers that I would never choose. Her favorites are white daisies. Why? I don’t know. She cannot talk. But she gravitates to them as I do to chocolate ice cream.

In honor of this collaboration, Absolut Art donated $500 to Extinction Rebellion, an organization fighting climate change.
