March, 2020: As the world braced for looming uncertainty and New York City was minutes away from a lockdown, we rushed to create one last thing. For this image, which recalls the classic form of the vanitas — a still life containing reminders of mortality — we kissed away our hopes and dreams, then let them run wild, hoping that someday they would come back to us.
