Prodip Leung

Stepping out of the box and into spiritual existence

“The world is not what we think”

Channeling his iconic Japanese Qigong character Reiki Star Man, Prodip Leung brings us his uniquely stylized black and white illustrations. But rather than drawing from imagination, the artist and famed musician documents reality and spiritual existence.

Perhaps best known as the bassist of controversial hip hop group LMF (Lazy Mutha Fucka), Prodip’s career in experimental art crosses multiple mediums. His visual art career began in the 1980s with concert posters and CD cover design, and his artful stylings soon became a mainstay in the underground music scene. As he’s expanded, Prodip has maintained his iconic boldness in illustrations and paintings. His artworks today explore tribes of hybrid aliens, as he draws on conspiracy theories, pop subcultures and street art to challenge the boundaries of conventional art.
