Just in the last few years, St. Louis-based artist William LaChance has exhibited his paintings internationally, from New York’s Joshua Liner Gallery to Melbourne, Australia’s Junior Space Gallery, not to mention Galerie 42b in Paris. In 2018, art gallery Beers London mounted a solo presentation of his work at the highly respected Expo Chicago art fair, which was rated a “must-see” in the Chicago Tribune and a “best of” by Surface Magazine. His painted basketball courts have won kudos from Architectural Digest and Vogue Australia, among others, and top-flight institutions like the Art Institute of Chicago have invited him to lecture. LaChance earned an MFA from Indiana University at Bloomington after getting a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute. Be on the lookout for upcoming projects including an immersive design pop-up with Isetan Tokyo and participation in a group show at Marrakesh’s David Bloch Gallery.
