Where art meets film meets fashion
“I always want to have an edge, something a little bit dirty, something not finished.”
An acclaimed photographer and director of film, Wing Shua crosses mediums with an extraordinarily nuanced insight into the human condition. He captures the profound emotions of his subject matter with intimate slices of life, be it staged or from cinema stills.
The Hong Kong based artist was responsible for founding the award-winning design studio, Shya-la-la Workshop. From here, he began collaborating with world renowned filmmakers to produce an acclaimed film portfolio. Happy Together was his first foray into film, and since then the medium has allowed him to exercise his artful visions to make art and fashion and the moving image meet. Since he made his return to fine art, Wing’s works have been exhibited worldwide at the likes of Art Basel Miami and art and fashion shows and museums all across Asia.
