Artist Erik Berglin has cultivated an international audience with good, old-fashioned hand techniques as well as with the newest technology. For his Bird Project (20076-2017), he traveled the world for twelve years, wheatpasting nearly five thousand images of exotic birds on the walls of cities from Tel Aviv to New York, Buenos Aires to London. In other works, he takes images from art history or from the streets he has traveled and subjects them to digital manipulation, creating images that bewitch the eye. The artist, who lives in Stockholm, has shown his work internationally and appeared in the international art press as well as curating several projects in Sweden and publishing books of his work.
In this video, he discusses his project for Absolut Art as well as his love for his home city.
