Absolut Art is thrilled to present an exclusive new print edition by LAWRENCE WEINER whose proceeds will benefit The Kitchen, a beloved New York nonprofit space that presents artists working across many mediums, including fine art, performance, film and video, and music. Weiner’s signed, limited edition print “EDITION FOR THE KITCHEN, 2020” will be available exclusively through Absolut Art in November.

Lawrence Weiner is heralded as one of the central figures in the formation of Conceptual art, and one of the greatest innovations of the 20th century. Created in unmistakable capital letters, his text and graphic works speak in an equally unmistakable voice. Praised by critics, embraced by the art world and respected by his peers, Weiner has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, and has had solo exhibitions at major museums from the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York to the Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles to the Tate in London. He has also appeared in major international exhibitions like the Venice Biennale, the Istanbul Biennial, the Sharjah Biennial, and Documenta, in Kassel, Germany. Globally influential magazines like Artforum and Art in America have devoted their covers to his work.

All profits from sold prints will benefit The Kitchen as charitable contributions in anticipation of the organization’s 50th anniversary, in 2021. One of New York City’s oldest nonprofit spaces, The Kitchen is a space where experimental artists share progressive ideas with like-minded colleagues.
