Sharing our Common Humanity

Absolut Art is proud to present three new drawings from celebrated cartoonist and writer Liza Donnelly, an astute observer of modern life. Donnelly’s drawings for Absolut Art depict subjects of great global importance: the fight for LGBTQ+ rights and the need for love and community in the age of Covid-19.

“For me, I always see cartoons or other drawings as a way of connecting with other people and sharing our common humanity,” says the artist. Her drawings often include a subtle but sardonic take on the place of women in society or a sincere and heartfelt wish for love and unity, but whatever approach she takes, her singular voice shines through.

Donnelly’s artworks have graced the pages of the hallowed New Yorker magazine, and her drawings and commentary on modern life have appeared at CNN, the New York Times, and many other esteemed publications. She delivered a very popular TED talk, which was translated into 38 languages and viewed over 1.4 million times, and is a return speaker at SXSW, has delivered talks at the United Nations in New York and Geneva, and The New Yorker Festival. Donnelly has been a Cultural Envoy for the US State Department, traveling around the world to speak about freedom of speech, cartoons and women’s rights.

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to own a timely piece of history, in the form of a signed limited edition prints, by one of the more celebrated creative commentators of our time.

Liza Donolley plans to generously donate her artist fee, paid by Absolut Art, to Amplifier.org
